Here are some shots of train 9104 passing through Long Plains on 6/3/12 with locos CSR001 & CSR002 leading. I think this is the first train using these new locos.
They were detached at the SCT depot at Bolivar. These locos were manufactured in China.
On Saturday 5th November GWA001 worked AD1. The train is seen here near Bolivar at about 6.30pm. My understanding is that the loco was having teething problems. I am not sure how far it got. Also that afternoon MP1 had ACB4403 attached being transfered to W.A.
Here is a clip of the Indian Pacific passing through Dry Creek on 27th Sept with an NR and DL class locos. NR18 has been painted in a new corporate livery so as soon as I see it I will post on this blog.
South Australian Railways locomotive 621 has recently returned to service after overhaul. It is operated by Steamranger based at Mount Barker. Here are some pictures and you tube clip on a recent run to Goolwa. 621 was built at Islington Workshops in Adelaide in 1926. It is a 4-6-2 'Pacific' locomotive and was used mainly for fast passenger trains.
